Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1-3By faith. How can we measure faith? It begins with believing that God created our universe. His command made it possible to be. If we cannot believe that God created the universe, there can be no faith. For what is there to believe in? There can be no righteousness. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:17.This is so true. Have you ever wondered about Enoch? He pleased God because of his faith. Have you ever wondered what it was like to have Enoch’s faith. What was his life like? What did he think about when he awoke? Was he concerned about being successful in this world? Or the latest in robe fashion? He believed and trusted God because of His Faith in who God is.Do I? Do we believe that God truly exists? It begins with knowing who God is…the Creator, Love, Father, Almighty, Life and no world philosophies of enlightenment can take God’s place. We believe – we have faith only in God. He is. Pleasing God is to believe He is and earnestly seek Him with all our hearts!By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:5-6
