June 9, 2017 – Psalm 136:1-2
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:1-2.
The ‘Why’ of God is embodied in this phrase, His faithful love endures forever. To the end of the age, beyond time, His Love IS!
How do we know His Love endures forever ? Keep your eyes upon the skies. The panorama of the ever-changing skies holds blessings untold. Blessings of rain and sunshine in their seasons. The most important reason for me is to watch and wait for the glory of the second coming of Jesus.
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11.
We praise God for His mercy, we are reminded of His Mercy and Love with every bright light in the night sky. There is no One who loves us, like the Lord.
Dearest Lord of All, my heart swells with the joy and the sweetness of your love and mercy for all those who walk the earth, past, present, and those who come after. We are safe and filled with joy at the mention of your name. We praise you with awe and thanksgiving with our every thought and breath. There is no One like You. I bow in humility and adoration. Come Quickly, Lord Jesus! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever— Psalm 136:5-7.
