May 29, 2017 – Psalm 13:5
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. Psalm 13:5.
Trusting and Rejoicing! The gift of living – fully alive – comes from being Thankful each day! Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 106:1.
How ‘long’ is our love? How long can we love others unconditionally? Can we see others as Jesus sees them? Jesus looks on the heart of man! What does it take to love others? And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.
Trusting and Rejoicing leads to Singing to the Lord. Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! Acts 16:25-26.
When we are caught in a world of sin, chaos, and danger, how can we be free? Sing praise to the Lord for his goodness! Your heart will be shaken and chains of the world fall off.
The other day, I realized how loved I am, and how God shows me in so many ways. I began singing Andrae Crouch’s lyrics from My Tribute!
How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet you gave, To prove your love for me…The voices of a million angels, Could not express my gratitude…All that I am, and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee…
I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalm 13:6.
