The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the Lord is powerful. the voice of the Lord is majestic, The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. Psalm 29:3-6Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it. Isaiah 32:3  May we listen to the voice of the Lord — it is mighty.  The voice of the God thunders above the sea.  His majestic voice splits and shatters the mighty cedars.  Once I stepped into the raging sea.  The sound of the waves deafened me… until I could hear nothing else.  The power in those waves pulled at me and threatened to topple me into its depths.  I knew at that moment God’s power and His majesty.When I was a child, we often clambered up the red dirt of Oklahoma hills.  I know the astonishment I would have felt if I had seen this hill leap from its place like a calf, causing me to tumble down to its feet again.  Then I would have sung, the lyrics, “The hills are alive with music, with songs they have sung for a thousand years....”When we see and hear the power of God in His Creation, we know the most important knowledge there is.  We know God is our Lord and that He reigns forever and ever.  Bolts of lightning, the shaking of the earth, the force of the wind gives me assurance that The Lord reigns over me and His world forever.  He gives me strength to overcome doubt and fear with His blessed peace.Dear Lord in Heaven, Help me to give me understanding and my listening ear to your truths.  Help me to know, though storms buffet and pierce me that You are Lord, My King and My Messiah forever.  I am your child forever and you are my friend always.  I sing, “Glory to God, Glory to God, Forever and ever, Amen!”  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.  The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The Lord rules over the flood waters.  The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength.  The Lord blesses them with peace. Psalm 29:7-11
