May 17, 2017 – James 1:17

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. James 1:17.

Look around you, what do you see!  First of all, if you see anything at all, it is gift from our Lord who delights in creating the lights in Heavens and names each star He made for our wonder!

He never changes in purpose. His light is steady, He casts no shadow, for He is Light. He needs no external power. He created the contours of lofty mountains that reach for their creator.  He created birds who sing praise to their Lord.

We were blessed by the birth of our 9th great-grandchild last night!  This is a sign of God’s blessings, as I read, He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true Word. Blessed be the Lord Our God!

Again, I am reminded  — each of us are God’s prized possession.  He loves us, He comforts us, He teaches and guides us. He protects us. Just as I breathlessly await blooms on earth to burst open, so God awaits for our understanding of the depth of His Love for us.  We feed on His Word, exercise loving kindness to others, and grow into everlasting glory with Him.

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24. ~~~ So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him!  Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure! Psalm 32:11.

He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. James 1:18.
