May 5, 2017 – Colossians 1:19-20
For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. Colossians 1:19-20
God lives in Jesus. Because of the price Jesus paid on the cross, we have peace in and with God. Through Jesus, God made peace with every living thing in Heaven and on Earth.
What is the goal you long to achieve during the time you are on this earth? Make a million dollars, invent something that makes life easier, or to be happy?
Consider these two verses as your goal in life, verses that will take a lifetime, and can only be accomplished with and through our Lord in Heaven.
- Live a life worthy of the Lord
- Please Him in every way – bearing fruit in every good work
- Grow in the knowledge of God
- Be strong with all power according to His glorious might
- Give joyful thanks to the Lord, who qualifies each of us to share in the inheritance in the kingdom of light.
Eternal success is living every moment in Jesus, forgiven, and at peace, singing praises and praying. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12.
…so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1: 10-12
