April 24, 2017 – Hebrews 6:3

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. Hebrews 3:6

I think of this verse, and think of the huge and ornate cathedrals where believers gather to worship Jesus come to my mind.  Where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I with them.  Matthew 18:20. In the shade of a tree, near a body of water, in log cabin, or a cathedral – we can gather and worship.  The four words that make the difference are these: Gathered In My Name.

Our Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He never changes through the ages. Our strength comes from God, the Father and His Grace.  So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.  John 1:14.

Jesus’ time on earth brought us God’s Grace. It is our salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.

You’re rich in love, And You’re slow to anger, Your name is great, And Your heart is kind, For all Your goodness, I will keep on singing, Ten thousand reasons, For my heart to find, Oh my soul,
I’ll worship Your Holy name, Bless You, Lord.  We sang this praise song yesterday.  The voices vibrated in adoring praise of the One Who saves us!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them. Hebrews 3:8-9
