April 21, 2017 – Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. Revelation 22:17
Have you ever been so thirsty that you had trouble swallowing? Have you ever wondered why birds and animals are found near bodies of water?
There is a physical thirst and a spiritual thirst. There is water and there is ‘living water’. Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” These are the words of Jesus in John 7:38.
There is no expiration date for Living Water! Just as there is no expiration date for truth. Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6. And Jesus is coming soon to take us to his Father God. Jesus is the Faithful Witness of all things and we wait for Him to return.
Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. Isaiah 49:13. The scripture is His Word to us.
Next time you get ready to drink a glass of fresh water, stop and give thanks. Each swallow is refreshing, just as belonging to Jesus and drinking in His Word daily refreshes us in his love and renews our hope in Him.
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23.
He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20
