April 20, 2017 – Psalm 89:1-2
I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Psalm 89:1-2
The number of songs that praise God, as this Psalmist does, praises God for his never failing love. One song written in this age contains these words – Your Love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me! (One Thing Remains).
God’s love is as constant as the sunrise with new mercies. Have you ever stood in the ocean and felt His power in the waves lapping around your feet? Have you ever seen the power of wind as it uproots a tree? Have you ever felt the overpowering heat of the sun in the summer time? Yes? Then you know God rules and you know the power of God.
God created all life on this earth, including you and me. Everything on this earth, in the earth, in the skies and seas He created and owns.
The question for each of us is this, What will I do with God and His Son Jesus? To answer that one question is the most important one we will answer on this earth. Will we accept Jesus, as God presents Him, as our Lord and Savior, or deny Him. The choice is ours. Saying Yes, brings us to God’s feet to obey Him and the promise of the glory of Heaven to live with Him forever. It is an all or nothing choice we make each day.
You rule the oceans. You subdue their storm-tossed waves. You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm. The heavens are yours, and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours—you created it all. Psalm 89:9-11
