March 22, 2017 – Psalm 57:16

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. Psalm 57:16

Do you remember when your Mom kissed you goodnight and hugged you every morning? How did you feel?  Blessed, joyous, and safe! When parental love grows into loving the One God, we realize that parental love is for a time. God’s love is for an eternity.

Our DNA  matches our family of the past and gives us an understanding for living today.  Yet, our spiritual DNA database is listed in Lamb’s Book of Life.  This Spiritual DNA database is composed of generations of those who are faithful to God. He is ever faithful to us in His unfailing love.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6.  Job learned from God Himself how minuscule his abilities and knowledge is.  Reading the probing question, I am humbled as to my understanding.  And with Job, (40:4-5) I say, “I am nothing—how could I ever find the answers? I will cover my mouth with my hand.  I have said too much already. I have nothing more to say.”  (Job 38th – 41st chapters.)

Blessed be the name of the Lord now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west—praise the name of the Lord. Psalm 113:2-3.  So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!  Patient endurance is what you need now so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36
