March 14, 2017 – Philippians 1:9-10

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. Philippians 1:9-10

What matters most in this world? We are told! And we are splintered into groups of people. And we say, NO. LOVE matters. A love that grows and flows unendingly as we learn about the God WHO IS Love. Love unending! The only things turning off this flow of love is pride, anger, and competition about the children of God, made in His Image.

Our agenda in life does not include fame and fortune but living pure and blameless lives.  How long? Until Jesus comes.

For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all He does. Psalm 145:13.

Have you ever wondered how long we have to wait for Jesus to come? And what is the fruit of our salvation? This is the life we live in Jesus Christ!  It is filled with giving, loving, forgiving, learning, and praising our Lord Jesus.  What does this look like in my life?

The Fruit of the Spirit makes it clear. We search our hearts to see if we truly live these nine attributes.  But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23.

May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory and praise to God. Philippians 1:11
