I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory. Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Psalm 85:8-10“For He speaks peace to his faithful people….”  He speaks peace…when I hear anger words, hate words, envious words, I know. I know how I long for those words of peace.  I listen for those words that bring peace.  Only in righteousness can we hear the words of peace.  One cannot be divorced from the other.Truth is the handmaiden to righteousness and peace and comes from on high.  In this season when we celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace, let us listen to words of joy that comes from truth and peace.  Prepare our hearts to live here on earth in righteousness and blessings and for an eternity.Dear Lord, Hear my prayer even as I listen to your word.  Fill my heart with truth and righteousness.  Help me know the joy of Jesus’ Love.  May I listen and live intently the words of truth.  May your peace fill my heart completely.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven. Yes, the Lord pours down his blessings. Our land will yield its bountiful harvest. Righteousness goes as a herald before him, preparing the way for his steps. Psalm 85:11- 13
