December 13, 2016 – Revelation 1:7

Look, he is coming with the clouds! Every eye will see him, including those who pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of him. This is so. Amen. Revelation 1:7This is our hope that is sure – Jesus IS coming.  Have you ever wondered about ‘coming with the clouds’?  That is the way Jesus left after He arose from the dead.  I used to wonder about traveling on a cloud!  I wondered if I would fall through the cloud.  Then I realized it says WITH the clouds.  Makes a difference.Every eye will see Him.  It won’t be a secret coming.  Everyone will know.  Those who pierced Him at the crucifixion…but wait, didn’t they die?  Yes – but we can pierce Him with ugly thoughts, deeds and words.  Living like Jesus means loving others and loving Him with all of our hearts.  It takes many choices each day to keep walking with Jesus.A man once wrote a book – First Things First. He taught ‘doing some things first’!  A big word for that is Prioritize.   When we prioritize and put loving Jesus first – we are living a prioritized life.  There are two more big words.  Alpha, meaning beginning and Omega meaning the end.  Jesus says He is the beginning and the end.  Have you wondered why you have to be last in line when you walk in school?  The end is more important than the beginning.  Jesus is coming back at the end, the Omega.  He is coming to bring us home to to Heaven.Easier words to say and sometimes difficult to understand is the description of Jesus — He is the One who IS and WAS, and IS Coming!  He is Almighty in all ways.  Always remember, He chose you and you and you — to hear and follow Him.  We make the decision to accept Him. He is cheering us on!
