November 29, 2016 – I Chronicles 16:12-13

Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, you children of his servant Jacob, his chosen ones. I Chronicles16:12-13Remember, Remember, Remember the Lord, His miracles and wonders. Though our memory is faulty in many areas, yet we remember our name.  Remembering God’s name is more difficult.  Recently on facebook, I joined the group that proclaimed – God is good, God is alive, God forgives, God is my strength, God is my shield, God is my comfort….Ending with God is Love and God is Alive.Who am I?  Eternally, I am Chosen by God.  Each of us are chosen to remember, to love and to serve the Lord our God. He chose us for his covenant He keeps for a thousand generations.  How long is a thousand generations – of Dad and Moms, Grandparents and Great-grandparents. Including you – that is 4.  If you added 996 more great-grandparents, you would have a thousand generations.  Think how big the thanksgiving table would have to be and how many turkeys it would take.  Unending.That is our God – the same God who chose you and loves you — is the same today, yesterday and for an eternity unending.  The same God in whose image we were created.“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.  Isaiah 45:22It all comes from God’s Love.  His love is forever.  He is the Lord our God and we remember Him.  He will bring us closer to Him — not just today but forever!He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land.  Remember his covenant forever – the commitment he made his covenant forever – the commitment he made to a thousand generations. I Chronicles 16:14-15
