Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills.Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!” Isaiah 40:3-5Listen! The very first word. The Lord has spoken, so Listen! So many times I see someone who tries to teach, tell, preach or exhort, and the non-listeners continue to create their own message. We miss the message when we don’t listen. Our Lord God has work for us to do, before He comes again. Are we listening? Do we understand? Our God is coming…He will rule….he brings a reward with Him when he comes. He is coming in power.Yet, He is filled with Love for his flock. He will carry us in His arms, holding us close to His heart. We cannot even fathom his power and his gentleness. What we hear, He is coming, do we turn back to our pursuits on this earth? Or are we filled with wonder, anticipation and love? We can choose to listen with joy or dread! What is your heart? Where is your mind? Listen and heed. Our God is coming!Dear Lord, Keep my faith strong. Keep my trust even stronger as I anticipate each day your coming. I look to the clouds and see the sun shine through and know that your glory will shine even brighter, until I am not able to do anything but bow and kneel before my Creator. Oh, how I love you! Oh, how dear you are. My body may decay, but that simply means my time to be with you grows ever more near. I pray in Jesus’ Name, AmenO Zion, messenger of good news, shout from the mountaintops! Shout it louder, O Jerusalem. Shout, and do not be afraid, Tell the towns of Judah, “O Zion, messenger of good news, shout from the mountaintops! Shout it louder, O Jerusalem. Shout, and do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah, “Your God is coming!” Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes. He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young. Isaiah 40:9-11
