We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I Corinthians 2:6-8Everyone loves a mystery.  Why, Who, When, Where, What and How questions surround a happening in the past or the present, or possibly in the future.  If it is a mystery, we speculate with wonder.While teaching in a sixth grade classroom, one child asked, “When did God begin?”  (That was in the day before God was outlawed in the classroom, as if He could be.)  How did I answer?  I had never thought about it before. Then I realized a verse told it all….”In the beginning, God…..”In the beginning, before the world began, God knew that He would give us the greatest mystery of all — the mystery of our faith.  Jesus.  Jesus left the realm of glory and came to this earth, born in a lowly stable. Jesus, a King, became servant of all.  Jesus, the Lord, endured pain and agony on the cross because He loves.    Jesus, the Prince of Peace, was rejected over and over, and yet He loves you and He loves me.Christ:  Revealed in a human body, as a tiny baby;  Vindicated by the Spirit;  Seen by angels;  Announced to the nations; Believed in throughout the world; Taken to Heaven in Glory.  The mystery is — how can anyone NOT believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Only Son of God?Dear Heavenly Father, You Who has always been, thank you for the mysteries of life that surround us.  Thank You for teaching us how to love.  Thank You for the way You love us more than we will ever know. I give you my heart and mind and my will.  I love you, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory. I Timothy 3:16
