Ephesians2-8…in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2:7-9The Good News of Grace is a Gift of God.  We cannot earn it, we can only accept it and rejoice with a deep-in-the-heart joy.Yesterday I watched the leaves stampede across the lawn in the wind.  The sound of a rushing wind is given in Acts 2, when the Gift of the Holy Spirit was given to the Disciples.  It seems that the kindness of God knows no bounds.  I see it in the harvest of the season, I see it on faces who know the Lord, I see it in phone calls of those who care and I see it when I pray for the Lord’s children.  In God, our family is bound by the blood of Jesus Christ, when we are baptized in Him.The Lord God is in the ‘here and now’ of our lives, each one of us.  He testifies by signs, wonders and miracles and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that are distributed to each of us according to his will.  A gift is given so that we may give… and serve our Lord.  Our salvation comes through Jesus, and the wonder of it all surpasses the greatest wonders of the world — that our Lord God created.Dear Lord, We can never repay You for the Joy and Wonder of Salvation.  We can only give our hearts and our will to You.  You, who created us,  gives us the very air we breathe.  You number the days of our lives, and know the number of hairs on our head.  You know our thoughts and our hearts.  You are our Redeemer and Great Shepherd.  Forgive me when the world overwhelms me and I lose heart.  You are my Glory and my Joy.  I ever praise you,  In Jesus’ Name, Amen. …how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.  Hebrews 2:3-4
