August 2, 2016 – Job 28:23-25

“God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens. He decided how hard the winds should blow and how much rain should fall.” Job 28:23-25The invincible, unstoppable, sovereign God  All things are possible with God.  Job, the man who lost everything, never gave up on God.  He lost his wealth, he lost his family, and yet Job praised God.His friends visited Job and tried to answer Job’s questions.  Finally in Job 38, God answered all Job’s questions.  Verses 4-5 of Job 38 says –“Where were you when I made the earth? If you are so smart, answer me.  And who decided how big the earth should be? Who measured it with a measuring line?Job 38 continues with God’s Words to Job.  And we know our place is worshiping Him, bowing down and understanding that the word Great and Glorious does not begin to describe who God is in our lives and in our hearts.If you live in a city where the bright lights dim the bright lights of Heaven, or walk in a city filled with traffic noise, you cannot hear the silent story of God’s Greatness.  He is the author of Wisdom, but if we cannot see Him, we are blinded to God’s wisdom.David, the shepherd boy’s first learning came from God Himself.  Picture him watching the sheep entrusted to his care seeing all of God’s glory! The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies announce what his hands have made. Each new day tells more of the story, and each night reveals more and more about God’s power. You cannot hear them say anything.They don’t make any sound we can hear. But their message goes throughout the world. Their teaching reaches the ends of the earth. Psalm 19:1-4.  David didn’t need an iPad, Kindle or an iPod to know God. God provided his own textbook for all of us — His Creation.  If you want wisdom, leave bad things behind.  That is wisdom from God!
