And he said to me, “Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. Then he said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. He then said to me: “Son of man, go now to the people of Israel and speak my words to them. Ezekiel 3:1-4As I read this scripture again, I realize how people across the world come to hunger for God’s Word. God’s Word is God-breathed and satisfies the inner hunger when nothing else satisfies. Sometimes as I read His Words, they rise up to greet me with joy. Such a treasure that cannot be described. We have nothing to say of worth, unless we are filled first with the sweet-as-honey Words...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty (void), but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11. God’s Word is not empty of purpose and it accomplishes His Purpose. The words of His Book are alive and meaningful at every stage of life.God’s Words teach, rebuke, correct and train…..for righteous living for each of us. They prepare us for more than life on earth, but for eternity with our Father God. Who is the Word? And what is His message? The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Revelation 1:1-3Is it any wonder that we hunger and thirst for His Word? God is Love! God is Faithful! Great is our God!!! Dear Lord, fill my heart with a continual hungering for studying and living your Word. I love the blessing of loving others in your name, Jesus. I love the peace and joy that you give my heart, no matter what. I love you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, AmenAll Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
