I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know. I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly. Psalm 40:9-10Hiding who we are in Christ Jesus, negates the scripture, “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.” Luke 8:16.Being in the light gives us the reason to rejoice, even through grievous trials. Rejoice because the trials give us a chance to prove our faith. Is it worth much, this faith of ours? It is worth more than gold. Even though we have not seen Jesus, we love him. Because we love Him, we believe and trust Him.Dear Lord of All, give us the strength to obey, the will to believe, the desire to love Him and the understanding to follow as He leads. Each day the longing in my heart for that glorious day when I move my address to my eternal home grows stronger. The sign posts of forgiveness and hope along the way increase my desire to live with you. In Jesus’ Name, AmenIn all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, I Peter 1:6-8
