June 9, 2016 – Psalm 18:28

Psalm18-28You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. Psalm 18:28We need a guide, a guidebook, and a light to follow.  For we are designed and created to follow.  When our guide is not The Guide, or we follow a book not written by The Guide, we walk in darkness.  Then we wonder why everywhere we turn we fall down and scrape our knees. When the One true God is not our Guide, we fall until we cannot get up again.  When we turn to God and His Son Jesus, and fall, the difference is, God picks us up.  He comforts us and puts a band aid of His Love on our hurts and ‘owies’.  And He teaches us to forgive.  God begins to teach us when we are still young through our Moms and Dads who love us and apply love-aids and hug-aids when we hurt. When we realize that God’s way is perfect and all His promises are true, we being to turn to God for our protection from falling.  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.When anyone asks what way you are going, tell them, God’s way, for it is perfect.  There is no other way but this…!

God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? Psalm 18:30-31
