I love you, Lord; you are my strength.The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.  I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.           Psalm 18:1-3King David writes words that help me know and understand just WHO God is.  When I am weak He is strong.  When I am vulnerable He is my shield.  When I am in danger, He is my safe place.  He listens to me when I call to Him.  He is the One who who is Worthy of Praise, for He saves me from my enemies.And today, this day when the world seems fearful and full of danger, I praise Him.  For I know He is here.  I know He works everything to my good.  When I don’t see anything good around me, I praise Him for He and He alone gives me hope and faith.  I trust in His Saving Grace day by day.God’s way is perfect and His promises are true.  My strength comes from the Lord who made Heaven and earth.  I love the description of God as a solid Rock.  A Rock that is immovable, steadfast, and a hiding place from turmoil.  If I hunger, He feeds me, if I thirst, He gives me living water to drink.God smooths my path and makes my way perfect.  God gives me strength.  God blesses me all the days of my life.  Blessed be the Lord.God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true.  He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.  For who is God except the Lord?  Who but our God is a solid rock?  God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:30-33
