IPeter2-4bYou are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.  I Peter 2:4-5We are unique, each of us, with different spiritual gifts to serve one another.  Each of us have different fingerprints and differences in DNA.  God has made us differently, there is no need to compare and compete with each other.  God has plans for each of us, work to do that only we can do.  The Why in life is in the following verses…Why should we serve, what’s in it for me?  I have never felt like I could do anything worthwhile.  I am a nothing.  No matter what I do, it is always wrong and I feel guilty.  When someone says they love me, I say — but you really don’t know me, there is nothing to love. But the One who made us, loves us enough.  He is God who makes us children of God through Jesus Christ.  There are two ways of hearing — hearing from the viewpoint of the world or the God of the universe.  A world language is one that only people of the world understand. But through Jesus, we have someone greater than the one who is in the world.  God listens to us.  People of the world do not listen to us.  It is not a part time relationship with God, it is an ALL-IN relationship.  Lies have no part in a life with God, for God is truth.  Blessed be the name of the Lord! You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. I John 4:4-6
