Reflections on “GOD’s GLORY!” August 13, 2024
How can I say thanks, For the things You have done for me? But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts. I Thessalonians 2:4.
Finally, then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more. For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. I Thessalonians 4:1-2.
Have you ever been so filled with awe of the Glory of our Lord God, that you asked, How can I ever praise God and Thank Him for the wonder of His Love and goodness? Andrae Crouch wrote this song to give us a beginning in learning how to please Him!
Things so undeserved, Yet You gave to prove Your Love for me. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness because in the forbearance of God, He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26.
When I read the Roll Call of Faithful Believers such as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Issac, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, and Gideon who by faith conquered kingdoms and performed acts of righteousness, I wonder if my faith would ever be as strong as theirs?
The voices of a million angels, Could not express my gratitude! Heaven is alive with praises of glory, yet angels have not experienced living in the sin-sick world and don’t know what is like. After these things, I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God. Revelation 19:1.
All that I am and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this, the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. I John 4:8-9.
Oh, how I wondered what I would do and be in my life. I traveled down many paths, and one by one God taught me. The last lesson was waiting on the Lord at the age at 94 for healing and the nuances of Peace!
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. Peace, I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:26-27.
Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” Deuteronomy 7: 9.
To God be the glory, to God be the glory! When Jesus learned of sickness of Lazarus from his sisters, He told His disciples, But when Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.” John 11:4.
For the things He has done. “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” Revelation 4:11. How eye-opening to the power and glory of all God created, and we were created IN HIS IMAGE. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honored and glory forever and ever. Amen. I Timothy 1:17.
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 16:25-27.
Through Him, then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:15-16.
With His blood, He has saved me, With His power He has raised me. In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight, He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. Ephesians 1:7-10.
Now God has not only raised the Lord but will also raise us up through His power. I Corinthians 6:14.
To God be the Glory For the things He has done. Oh, just let me live my life, Let it be Pleasing, Lord to Thee, And if I gain any Praise, Let it go to Calvary.
Can you see the ways God blesses you? Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:4.
