Ephesians6In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:16-18Morning is the time to reflect on the day. Because of the verse I found yesterday, I wanted more of the Word of God.When I discovered your words, I devoured them.
They are my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear your name, Jeremiah 15:16After reading this, I began to realize that the constant posting of God’s Word comforts me and gives me strength.  The role of CareGiver is new, and I am learning that it is consuming emotionally, spiritually and physically. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Romans 5:4This says it all.  I am to rejoice when Ed is going through a hallucination, when his bedtime doesn’t match mine, when I try to give him a bath.  I do this, not for my glory, but for Jesus.  I do this because, after 62 years of marriage — a life time, I need and want to care for my love.  It is humbling, which is exactly how Jesus wants me to be.  It is being a servant, even when Ed doesn’t remember who I am.  It is loving, no matter what.  It hasn’t been too hard yet.  And I know that God will give me the strength I need — as I need it.Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. Romans 15:17
