September 21, 2021 – Romans 12:9-12
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:9-12.
Reading, this list of living for God, we ask, how can this be? It is impossible for me. Yet there is hope. Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” But Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:26-27.
Love one another, show honor to them, show enthusiasm, intense in spirit and serve the Lord. Then add rejoicing, patience and constant prayer. We are nothing without our Lord Jesus Christ directing us to a full life.
Think more of others, than we think of ourselves by rejoicing with those who rejoice and weep with those who rejoice. A musical instrument played with the wrong notes will not bring harmonious sounds to the day.
Dear Lord God, help me to love with passion as You love. Help me walk humbly in your wisdom. Help me to hear and obey your voice and follow You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Romans 12:14-16.
