September 7, 2016 – Psalm 36:5-6

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. Psalm 36:5-6Such glorious words David used to praise His Lord God.  It is no wonder David was a man out of God’s own heart.  When I see God through David’s eyes my heart is struck with certainty of the majesty and glory of God.   Love as vast as the heavens, faithfulness that can only be divine.  The majestic mountains who glory in God’s nearness and spell righteousness.  I once stood in the edge of the Pacific Ocean and felt His power and justice.This Father God loves me and He loves you.  Not in a casual, I love you, but as the Ultimate Caregiver who sees to our every need and longs for our hearts to be his completely.  How can we turn our backs on God and His Son Jesus for He is the Way and the Truth.Storms in our lives come and go, yet God is our Constant Shelter.  He provides the shadow of His wings we hide under, the boldness to choose His Way, and the faith to be unshakeable.  The old hymn lyrics are so true – God will take care of you, through every day, o’er all the way, He will care for you, God will take care of you….How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7
