September 27, 2017 – Ephesians 3:18-19
Ephesians 3:18-19 – And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
There is no end to God’s love. As God’s people we can begin to experience this love Jesus Christ has for us. Yet, we will never know the depth, breadth, and the fullest extent of the Amazing Love of Jesus Christ while on this earth.
What can His love do? It changes our hearts to think and to love others the way Jesus loves us. Have you ever thought of all the times we think and say ugly things of someone else. God taught me a lesson while celebrating a wedding anniversary in a restaurant. I watched a child touching the food with his fingers in the serving tray. The clarity of thought came to me – he was created by God, and God loves this child. I looked around the restaurant, I didn’t see people, I saw God’s creation, the souls for whom Jesus died. I began to celebrate how wide, long, deep, and high is the love of Jesus.
Forgiveness is the flip side of Love. Without a forgiving spirit, we are not forgiven or know God’s love.
God’s power emanates through His Love, and this power is at work within us as we live for Him. God’s power in us accomplishes more than we ever can on our own. What are you asking for in this life? What are you thinking of doing in His Name and in His power?
Mark 10:27 – Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
Ephesians 3:20 – Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
