Proverbs3-18Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly. By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens. By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth, and the dew settles beneath the night sky. Proverbs 3:18-20Wisdom – discernment, insight, understanding, knowledge and perceptivity.  What color is wisdom?  It is usually thought of as gray, as in gray hair.  Gray hair means the owner has led a long life with many experiences.  Experiences that helped him learn judgement of what is right and wrong, teaching  of what makes wise men.I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly,  asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.  I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. Ephesians 1:16-18Why do we need wisdom?  Why should we, like Solomon, ask for wisdom?  So that ‘we might grow in our knowledge of God’.  There is no end to the studying of God’s wisdom.  The riches of knowing God far surpasses the finite riches of the world and its fame.Always looking to the Lord, trusting in Him, we do not lean on our own understanding.  Leaning on God, while being tossed to and fro in this life on the Sea of Trouble, brings us safely to a beautiful ISLE of his Love.Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
