October 6, 2015 – Ephesians 6:12-14

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. Ephesians 6:12-14What war are you fighting?  We grow up fighting the ‘bad guys’.  When I was young, it was always cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians.  Now there are GI Joes and outer space wars and then the wars went from hand to hand combat to video games.There are unseen forces that threaten us with evil.  Beings not of this world that do not bleed are our enemy.  These are enemies that enter our hearts and change our inner soul.  How can we fight them?  Only through God and wearing his armor in our hearts, can we win this war.  The Shield of Faith in Him, the Belt of Truth and the armor of God’s righteousness will win the biggest ever war!Able.  Are you able to fight?  God is able.  He works through us.  We cannot even dream of all the things we can do when we allow Him to work through us…  Sing the battle cry of praise and love to Jesus.  Teach your children to follow Jesus.  Never too early to begin the forever and forever and praise Him who is ABLE!Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
