November 27, 2015 – Colossians 3:14

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14The brilliant star lighted the Eastern sky to guide the wise men to the manger.  Little did the sleeping world know that not just a babe was born. Love  was born.  The kind of selfless love that creates joy unspeakable.Love that begets hope, steadfastness, sufficiency and gratitude.  Love is Truth – bare boned – something we can depend on.  Not a bit of subterfuge, simply love is abundant in our hearts.When we love, every word or deed is pure and is in the name of the Lord Jesus.  The beautiful lyrics, No Other Name comes to mind….The earth will shake and tremble before Him.  Chains will break as heaven and earth sing, Holy is the name, Holy is the name of Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  We lift up our eyes, see the King has come.  The Light of the World reach out for us.  There is no other name, There is no other name.  Jesus Christ our God.  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wku9OphQ7JE)Not only is Jesus the light of the world, but he brought us the essence of gratitude.  The Thank You that comes from our hearts is because we know with a certainty, without Jesus, love is gone.And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’  Matthew 25:40.  When we serve others, we show thanks to God the father through Jesus, to the least of these.  Those who are without, see the love of Jesus, through your loving service in the name of Lord Jesus.And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
