November 11, 2015 – Psalm 29:5-7

Psalm29-5-7The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire. Psalm 29:5-7And God said, is found in Genesis 1, eight times and his voice created the heavens and earth and all that is in them.  There is power in His Voice that emanates from His Holiness and Majesty.I remember when a sixth grader asked me where God came from.  I stopped a moment to think, and then quoted the first four words of His Holy Word…Genesis 1:1.  In the beginning, God…His power cannot be contained in a box, but encompasses a universe that we cannot see.  We cannot fathom the might and power that his voice creates even to making the deer give birth. We have a book, a Holy Book, the Words God wants us to hear.  He wants us to obey Him.Deuteronomy 28:1-2 -“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earthAnd all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.”John 5:25 –Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.Above all else — we listen for the voice of the Lord God and give Him Praise and Glory and Obey! The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” Psalm 29:8-9
