May 14, 2015 – Romans 8:35

Romans8-35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Romans 8:35In this world of unrest, what could separate us from the love of Christ?  What would separate us?  Is there anything powerful enough to take us away from His love? Even the ultimate – the loss of our life – cannot separate us from God.For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.  2 Corinthians 5:7-8After a particularly bad time, I woke up the next day to see the sun shining.  The appearance of the sun gave me hope, knowing that all would be well.  God’s One and Only Son, Jesus, is coming again.  One day, after the tribulation, sun will be darkened and the moon will not give light.  All light will be erased from the earth.  The Light of the World, Jesus, will not longer be present. The stars will fall from the heavens and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. That is the time I want to be sure my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life by choosing Jesus every moment of every day I live.  In my heart of hearts, I pray daily for my children and my children’s children to choose Jesus. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,  where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.  Hebrews 6:19-20“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.” Mark 13:24-25
