You light up my days, And fill my nights with song.  For indeed, there is no darkness in Jehovah Jireh, for he created light.  He is a light that cannot be extinguished.  For He cannot be what He is not.  Our hope, our light, our way, for He is our Lord God.  Our Father God is the Creator of all we see, hold, walk on, and walk under.  There is nothing made that does not hold his loving attention.God created man in His own Image.  We often try to escape, even as an unruly teen attempts to leave the confines of parental control.  Much later, we understand that our parents know what we could not.  Our parents continue to correct us because of their love for us.Even so, the ‘patches of dark‘ that seem to come on us in life, are simply tastes of what can be our lot if we do not repent and turn back to the One whose love is deeper, wider and higher than any mortal can ever love.Just as earthly parents delight in their children, even so, God delights in each of us.  He delights as we stumble and fall.  He picks us up to walk in his pathway and we grow in faith, trust and in His wisdom.And we sing, with arms lifted high in worship — You light up my life, You give me hope to carry on. You light up my days, And fill my nights with song. My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you.  For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.  Proverbs 3:11-12
