June 9, 2015 – Psalm 147:5-6

Psalm147-5-6Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. The Lord lifts up the humble;he casts the wicked to the ground. Psalm 147:5-6The mountains speak of the greatness of God our Lord.  They rise up to the sky, and are a sign for us pointing to where the fountain of our hope lies.  A mountain’s power is a symbol of a small portion of God power and understanding.  Is a mountain climber simply motivated to ascend a huge mountain because of his thirst for God, and a yearning to be near Him?  Are we drawn to the pinnacle of truth and hope because of the inner yearning of our soul?So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. I Peter 5:6  And you will be lifted up, not by an earthly power but an everlasting power. For the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth — if you believe this, you are much to be praised, for you understand an everlasting faith.A faith that grows as we realize His understanding is beyond ours.  When we know that, not like us, our Lord Jehovah does not faint or grow weary.  He knows our hearts, for He made us.  We are an ‘open-book’ to our Lord God.  Blessed be His Name.

Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28
