January 19, 2018 – Ephesians 4:14-15

Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:14-15.

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.  And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32.

How do we discern the truth from the lies so rampant in this world? By worshiping Him in truth, through faith in His Word, both the Living Word, Jesus, and the written Word, which is the Bible. (from Anne Graham Lotz’ devotion.) The Living Word, Jesus, is the head of the body of Christ, the Church.

It is Jesus who makes the Body fit together perfectly. Diversity and division is of Satan. Unity in Christ is of the Lord God.  He gifts us with abilities for the work He has for us. The work He ordains for each of us, helps others to grow in Loving others.

Even as we desire to have our children to be healthy, growing and full of love, our Heavenly Father prays we are healthy, growing and full of love for others from the heart.

A thousand times I’ve failed, Still Your mercy remains, And should I stumble again – I’m caught in Your Grace. Everlasting – Your light will shine when all else fades, Never ending…from the Inside Out. (Hillsong Worship)

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:16
