December 15, 2015 – I Peter 1:8-9
You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You can’t see him now, but you believe in him. You are filled with a wonderful and heavenly joy that cannot be explained. Your faith has a goal, and you are reaching that goal—your salvation. I Peter 1:8-9Have you ever been so happy you just had to jump up and down, and run as fast as you can? Can you imagine where that joy comes from? Can you explain the joy? It is like nothing on earth, better than swinging high, or getting a present you wanted for a long time. Those are temporary. This joy begins as soon as you wake up and follows you all day. At night when you kneel beside your bed and pray, you realize where that joy comes from — it is God Himself.Even when you are young, you are important to God. For He has plans for you in your life because He loves you. The ultimate goal for your life is salvation. This means choosing Him and living with Him in your heart. I Timothy 4:12 says how. Live a pure life believing and trusting in God. How? When your speech is cluttered with curse words, or your activities are not pure, you are not a good example to others. When you love God with all your heart, your soul and your mind, you are faithful. Being faithful and trusting Jesus, can only be done by giving your life to God all the days of your life. You are young, but don’t let anyone treat you as if you are not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith and by your pure life. I Timothy 4:12
