I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor
and your wonderful miracles.
Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue;
I will proclaim your greatness.
Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness;
they will sing with joy about your righteousness. Psalm 145:5-7
What does a blind man see? Can he fathom the depth of the ocean, the height of the heavens, the faithfulness of the sun’s path? How does he know God IS? A blind man knows God through extraordinary senses – for his eyes are not distracted by every sight man manufactures. His vision for the spiritual is heightened by hearing God’s Word that proclaim the joy of God’s Greatness.
The light we take for granted at the click of a switch, does nothing for a blind man. The only light He can see is the brilliance of Jesus. His knee is continually bowed in humility and love for the One who gives him spirit-filled sustenance and the endurance to continue life praising God.
The blind man, who stars in the sky, hears the praise song of a passing bird, the rippling of living water in his heart. The contentment and joy on the blind man’s face tells me that he knows to the depth of his soul, Who Jesus is.
Lord, help me to see you and know you, leaving the world behind. Create in me a clean heart, one that is cleansed anew as I walk with You. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-12
