April 2, 2015 – Psalm 133:1

Psalm133-1bHow good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!  Psalm 133:1The secret to living in unity is in praising the name of Jesus.  Jesus brings unity in his everlasting Love.  It is caring, just as Jonathan cared for his friend David, with openness and all-ness.  It is belonging to Jesus with no secret places concealed from Him.And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.  Matthew 19:5  United into one. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, aren’t we made one with Jesus and become the bride of Christ?  We are made One with Jesus — in His Glory and in His Suffering.  For when one spouse suffers, the other understands and takes on that hurt as well.Especially during this time of the year, in the face of the shame and death on the cross, bearing the burden of the sin of the world, how can we not know deep in our hearts His pain?  We remember. We remember Jesus Christ and his sacrifice, and we praise Him!  Jesus is real and He loves us, just ask our little great-grandson, Sam.  Sam, 7 years old,  asked his mother with all the intensity and faith, “Did you know that Jesus is building me a tree house in heaven. I drew a picture of it today to help him.” Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.  There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? John 14:1-2.  Yes, Sam knows….and believes. And we join Sam and all the family across the world, standing in awe of the Lord in praise and adoration. But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.  Psalm 5:11Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord! Praise him, you who serve the Lord, you who serve in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. Psalm 135:1-2
